SHGSIC had converted two 280,000DWT VLCCs for Petrobras into FPSOs (P-33 and P-35, Single Point Mooring, Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading System) in compliance with the rules and regulations of ABS and API, and it is the first such kind of conversion in China, including 24,000tons of steel work, 4,600tons of piping, 700,000m of cable laying, 700,000m2 of coating (special tank coating: 400,000m2), 2,300 sets equipment installation and refitting of all the accommodations.

P-33 and P-35 are deployed and well operated in Marlim Field, Brazil, to produce and treat 500,000 bopd, gas-compressing 2,000,000Nm3/d, and to treat and export gas of 1,500,000 Nm3/d for 20 years.
